About the event

Join Mushkegowuk Health, in partnership with Payokotayno James and Hudson Bay Family Services for a trauma support training workshop facilitated by Gerald Kiesman of Restoring Balance Consulting. 


Who should attend?

Community workers who work with Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit and Metis people who have experienced trauma.


What will I learn in this 2-day workshop?

  • Communication skills to assist trauma survivors

  • How to ground your clients so they feel safe within their mind and body

  • How trauma impacts the mind, body and spirit

  • How trauma/adverse childhood experiences impacts developmental factors of life

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the therapeutic process.

*Training costs will be covered. 


Sessions will take place from 9 AM - 4:30 PM each day.
