Hello! My name is Kiana Jeffries and I am a Moose Cree First Nation member currently residing in Moose Factory, ON. I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Canadore College in June 2020 and obtained a certificate to be an authorized Registered Early Childhood Educator. I’ve spent the last 3 years working with children and it’s been my desire to expand my knowledge in working with children and their families. I’m excited to say I’ve joined the Special Needs Strategy team : Mamou PimoTayTaa – Together We Talk within Mushkegowuk Council as their Jordan’s Principle Coordinator, as of May 23, 2023.

The Jordan’s Principle program assists and supports Mushkegowuk families completing applications for funding and / or health and social services that their child or children are not receiving. Multiple requests can be made for each child or group of children, which includes the following but is not limited to educational needs, mental health services, and medical transportation, etc. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family outdoors either in the boat or at our spring camp. I love to travel and attend concerts of my favourite artists.
